世界自然保护联盟把各种类人猿物种列为“极危”或“濒危”(只有东白眉长臂猿(Hoolock leuconedys)是“易危”),捕猎的规模是类人猿野外生存的一项关键决定因素。但是,要准确地评价捕猎类人猿的规模和对完好种群长期存续的影响,还需要更多数据。
